Advice to women in business:  Calvin Coolidge's quote:  "Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.  Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful individuals with talent.  Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.  Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.  Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."

Best advice ever received: Go the extra mile.Secret to surviving in business:  Have a genuine concern for your client's best interest.

Strongest inspiration:  My mom, who is an amazing woman in all respects.

What most people don’t realize about me: I have a sense of humor and enjoy laughing uncontrollably with those close to me!

Additional Thoughts: During  2006, I was treated for stage 2 breast cancer.  Through this experience, I learned the hearts of so many fine people who helped me through this process and I will forever be grateful to those people.  Also, I learned that staying involved with client matters during this time gave me a much needed diversion away from my own difficulties.  Most of my clients did not know of my diagnosis because I did not want them to worry; however, I believe this experience has helped make me more sensitive to others' unspoken concerns in dealing with their own family planning legal matters. And now, with a good prognosis, I always want to be available to other women (and their families) who face this diagnosis.
