Personal Business Philosophy: Do your best to take care of your customer's needs first; be honest and straight forward; and communicate with them as often as you can to let them know you care.

Advice to women in business: Believe that you can do things and be confident; do what it takes to get the job done; try to produce the best work product you can under the circumstances and don't be satisfied with mediocrity; don't let petty things bother you or get under your skin.

Best advice ever received: From my Dad who told me that even people who seem successful and smart don't typically know all the answers, but they obtain enough knowledge in their chosen field to have an idea what the answer is, or what it should be, and then they artfully buy themselves time to find out the answer before giving erroneous advice or making costly mistakes.  It comforted me early on in my career to discover that other people didn't always know all the answers either.

Secret to surviving in business: Don't panic easily and over-react, be solution-oriented, have a good attitude, work hard and be persistent.

What being in business has taught you: The value of hard work, making your own money, and learning how to do a lot of things yourself.

Secret to dealing with employees: Always be willing to listen; try to promote them and be cognizant of their desires to succeed and encourage them to do their best; be reasonable in expectations but keep standards high.

Special comments: Most people are really interesting and have some unique talent or passion, if you take the time to learn a bit about them.
